All applications are reviewed and tuition support grants are made before the Summer training session beginning in June. Applications at other times of the year will be considered on a case by case basis.

Who is eligible?
Anyone who is accepted to the Sound Circle Teacher Training program or Art of Administration program who identifies as a person of color.
How do I apply?
After acceptance into either program, write a brief letter (1 page or less) describing your plans to use your training in a waldorf school.
What does the Grant cover?
The grant covers a portion of the tuition.
Teacher trainees may receive up to $1000 per year.
Art of Administration participants receive $200 for a summer in-person course, $100 for an online course, and $200 for each year in the full program up to $1000 for the entire full program (3 summers and two years in between)
Are there any requirements?
Your grant will be paid to Sound Circle (SCC is the fiscal agent for LWS). You will need to remain a student in good standing and make every effort to engage in all the requirements of the program.
How will I receive the funds?
The funds will be paid to Sound Circle and will be applied to your tuition.
What if I drop out?
The grant only covers the time you are in the program. The percentage of the program you complete will be also the percentage of the grant you receive. Unused funds will be made available to other eligible Trainees.
Am I eligible for a grant in my second year?
Yes. You must reapply but if you are in good standing, an additional grant will be made for the additional year.
Who are the trustees of the Foundation?
All of the trustees are friends, teachers, and alumni of Sound Circle.

Can the Foundation accept contributions on my behalf?
If you know someone who would also like to support your training, they may contribute to the Foundation and those funds will be applied to your tuition along with the grant, under the same terms. Any contributions to the foundation are tax-deductible as a charitable donation under the IRS code 501c(3).
