Supporting Waldorf in Ukraine is an initiative born from a common commitment and failitated by a volunteer coordinating group of colleagues in Europe and the US. who meet regularly online.
Karl Schurman, retired Waldorf teacher, Québec, Canada. In Fall 2025, Karl spent 3 months in Ukraine teaching, mentoring and advising schools and will return in Fall 2026. For 18 years Karl was a HS teacher in numerous US schools.
Olena Mezentseva, PhD, HS teacher, Sophia School, Kiev. Olena is the coordinating secretary of the Assn. of Waldorf Schools Ukraine and member of the Hague Circle.

Jean-Pierre Caron,, (Semi-retired) Consultant in Anthroposophical Organizational and Human development, Author (Spirit and Business), Paris. Jean-Pierre is an ethical finance advisor/teacher, board member of the Sophia Foundation that supports Anthroposophical Initiatives in Ukraine. Over the past 3 years, he has taught and advised schools in Ukraine.
Stefan Holz, Coordinator of the WOW-Day at Friends of Waldorf Education in Germany since January 2026, previously worked in its volunteer services for 14 years.

Holly is past director of Sound Circle Waldorf Teacher Training, served on Pedagogical Section Council of North America and WECAN board, She has written and edited several books, continues to be mentor and teach professional development courses, and is founder/director of Star Ladder Puppetry.
