Kyiv Waldorf Kindergarten “Sophia”
67 kids are currently in Kyiv coming every day to the kindergarten (+18 abroad), 3 groups, 7 educators. A bomb shelter in the building is keeping the regular rhythm of KG life possible. But the shelter in reality is not a shelter but a small cellar. We need a real shelter to open more groups and take more kids. So we are developing the ideas for finding the finances and building the proper shelter in our KG.
Challenges: All the challenges that the schools talked about are inherent in kindergartens:
lack of teachers, financial needs, attracting families to Waldorf, and educating the parents toward
healthy childhood.
Inspiration: working with kids, keeping a healthy childhood for them, and praying every day for the lives of families, colleagues, and friends.
